I am really proud of this cover because it is one of my most creative. The red heart in the middle is stuck on the pink cardstock and I layered a printed vellum over the top. I also used chipboard alpha letters for my title. The ribbon is used to hold the book together.
The left page is where I wrote a little dedication for my husband.
The right page is a calender of the month and year we started dating and I placed a heart sticker over the day. I created the calender using acrylic stamps and alpha stickers.
The next two pages I made into pockets using vellum and ribbon.
Sorry these pages are a little hard to see but in the middle of the two pages I used a journaling stamp and there are various 3-D and glitter stickers surrounding it. The sticker on the right page in the middle I wrote 'Valentine's Day Memories' so my husband could journal his favorite V-Day memories we've had together.
I used these two pages to journal things I love about my husband. You can see on the right hand page there are some tags showing. I created a pocket between the pages where I could slip the tags in.
Here is a closer look at the tags in the pocket. I journaled on one side and there are stickers on the other side. I put ribbons on the tags so it would be easier to pull them out.
On the left page I used my journaling stamp and on the first few lines I wrote 'the first time I saw you' and left it blank for my husband to journal the rest. On the right page I stamped the whole side with a Valentine's Day themed stamp and then matted my page over the stamping.
This page is another journaling type of page. I used my journaling stamp and stickers to decorate. For the record this is not a picture of our first kiss but this just goes to show that you do not always need pictures of the moment you're journaling about. For me, this picture fit the theme of the pages.
This is another one of my favorite pages. It is the back cover and I love the 'love conquers all' sticker because I truly believe it!
I hope you enjoy this project as much as I did making it! I have made a video of how to make the basic book and I also walk through this book a little more in depth. I hope to have that video uploaded soon! Happy Scrappin'! SB
